We are Expression Engine developers in the UK, available for hire. Check out our portfolio of Expression Engine sites to see just some of the work we've done.
We've written before why we choose Expression Engine CMS. We use it for so many projects because we know it inside and out and can work quickly. Plus, even more importantly, we know how flexible and expandable it is.
Expression Engine website for Student Scholarships
Expression Engine is a commercial product but pays for itself very quickly because of the amount of functionality immediately available to developers. And as a designer, it's tempting system doesn't impose any restrictions so your website can always look just how you want it to. The nature of Expression Engine also means that when you require something bespoke, a PHP developer is able to build an integrated module or plugin to work alongside the other site content.
We are a designer & developer team who have specialised in Expression Engine development for a number of years. We thrive on building bespoke websites that combine custom functionality with great design and usability. Don't just take our word for it, check out our portfolio.
For International House World Organisation we developed a new Expression Engine website to tie in with their new brand launch. The site includes a lot of member specific functionality for their affiliated Schools and Teachers. We also developed a completely bespoke Jobs module. Schools can post and edit job vacancies via a front end form using standard Expression Engine templates. Teachers can then apply for jobs which will be processed by IH staff via the custom job board module.

Working with International House Bristol on their bespoke Expression Engine website, we developed a number of features to help students improve their language skills. Working with a Expression Engine calendar module we built a 'Phrase of the Day' feature that is easily editable by teachers and phrases will automatically roll-over from one year to the next.
Students are also able to test their English levels on the site. While there are some existing Expression Engine test and quiz modules available, none had quite the functionality IH Bristol required. So we built our own custom language testing module. Students can now take a variety of different language tests with question/answer formatting that matches what they will be presented with in different exams.
We have developed several ecommerce websites using different Expression Engine shopping cart solutions. We used Cartthrob to build Alphatastic - where customers can customise their orders to have personalised baby name art prints created for them. And we used the Expresso Store module to give commerce functionality on Erin Cox Jewellery.
Calendar Club Corporate website
Calendar Club open pop-up stores across the UK between September and January every year. When we developed their new corporate website, they needed a store locator to be included in the website. Because the stores open so quickly over this period it was necessary to automate the update process between their internal database and the website. We built an automated import routine to automatically import store information to Expression Engine and allow customers to find their nearest Calendar Club stores.
